Alphabetical list of hikes for 2014-2016

Ancient Lake
A series of small, water filled potholes created by the same ancient, catastrophic floods from ancient Missoula Lake that created the coulees. It is located in the Potholes Coulee southwest of Quincy in eastern Washington.

Dirty Harry's Balcony
A small viewpoint overlooking the I-90 corridor about 12 miles east of North Bend. It sits up on a small shelf on a ridge of West Defiance and can be a short side-trip on the way to Dirty Harry's Peak or a shorter hike done by itself.

Dusty Lake
Another pothole lake in the Potholes Coulee. It is separated from the Ancient Lakes by an arm of the coulee wall.

Great Wall
The ridge between Change Peak and Mount Washington, east of North Bend. It is the headwall of the valley between the two. It can done from either direction and makes a nice wide loop hike.

Green Mtn: Absolute Last Promontory
Green Mountain is a 4800' mountain along the Middle Fork Snoqualmie River near North Bend, WA. Absolute Last Promontory is a viewpoint partway up Green Mountain at about 3000'. It offers sweeping views of the Middle Fork Snoqualmie valley and peaks across the valley.

Little Balcony
A small viewpoint below Web Mountain, along I-90 between North Bend and Snoqualmie Pass. It can be accessed from either the Dirty Harry's trailhead or the Ira Springs trailhead.

Little St Helens
A small 4500' ridge along I-90 between Gardner Mountain and Humpback Mountain near Snoqualmie Pass. It can be accessed from the Hanson Creek trailhead.

Manastash Ridge: Westberg Memorial trail
A trail, leading from the Thorp valley up onto Manastash Ridge, dedicated to Ray Westberg, a local wrestling coach who died prematurely. It is a steep trail but offers outstanding views of the valley and the Stewart mountain range.

Mason Lake
A mountain lake in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, a short distance off the I-90 corridor, nestled between Bandera Mountain and Mount Defiance. It can be accessed from the Ira Spring trailhead, between North Bend and Snoqualmie Pass.

Mt Washington: Washington Pond
A pond in the valley between Change Peak and Mount Washington. It makes a good destination when time constraints or weather conditions don't allow for a longer hike.

Pratt Mountain Saddle
The saddle over the ridge between Pratt Mountain and West Granite Mountain. The ridge separates the Talapus/Olallie Lake basin from the Pratt Lake basin. It is not usually a hike destination in itself but makes a good turnaround point for shorter hikes.

Putrid Pete's Peak or P3
A 5200' peak between Web Mountain and Bandera Mountain southeast of North Bend, Washington. It is a steep, rough trail and can be accessed from the Ira Spring trailhead.

Rattlesnake Mountain: Grand Prospect
A long ridge along I-90, across from North Bend, Washington. Grand Prospect is a viewpoint about 4 miles from the west end of the ridge. The trail runs from end to end making a through hike possible.

Scout Patrol Peak
A 4600' peak several miles southwest of Snoqualmie Pass. There is no real trail to the summit. A couple of old logging roads will get you within a half mile of the crest and from there the rest of the way is a scramble up a scree field to the summit.

Squishy Bell Viewpoint
A 2000 ft prominance above the I-90 corridor east of North Bend. It is almost directy across I-90 from McClellan Butte. It affords great views, both east and west, along the I-90 corridor.

Tiger Mountain: Poo Poo Point
Tiger Mountain is a large forest area managed by the DNR. It contains 4 mountains - 1 with 3 - peaks and is honeycombed with trails. Poo Poo Point is a lower elevation point near Issaquah with a paraglider launchpad.

White Bluffs: South Slope
Light colored sandstone bluffs along the Hanford Reach, one of the last untamed sections of the Columbia River across from the Hanford Nuclear Reservation.

Winter Block Viewpoint
A viewpoint along I-90 below Web Mountain, between North Bend and Snoqualmie Pass. It works as either a short hike when time is an issue or a longer hike combines with other destinations.
